As a Business Support Team Leader you will have energy and enthusiasm in order to lead and motivate your team with an emphasis on predominantly supporting a range of adult social care services, safer, stronger and healthier community services and core services including legal and workforce development. You will be instrumental in promoting a culture of excellence and improvement, embrace change and offer ideas to introduce alternative ways of working to improve effectiveness. You will manage your team providing direction and co-ordination of workloads, support and guidance and demonstrate an approach that develops ‘leaders at every level’

You will have a well-developed ability to manage a challenging and diverse workload under pressure, demonstrating skills in work prioritisation, organisation, time management and delegation.

Here at Barnsley, we live and work by four important values: honesty, teamwork, excellent service, and taking pride in what we do. As part of our team, you can be sure we’ll do all we can to support you in being truly excellent. You see, we prioritise learning, we want you to achieve your potential, so we’ve created a development process that lets you grow in the way that suits you - whether that’s training to be a leader, or learning flexibly online. That’s one of the reasons why we achieved IIP Gold, and why you’ll find your career here inspiring and rewarding. In addition, you will have access to a wide range of employee benefits and be an integral and valued member of a service that enjoys a strong team ethos.
