Strategic Infrastructure Manager
£47,511 - £50,448
We are seeking a Strategic Infrastructure Manager to provide leadership across the London Boroughs of Newham (LBN) and Tower Hamlets (LBTH) to deliver the Lea River Park vision. The vision proposes a programme of strategic capital infrastructure including bridges, parks and footpaths. These interventions will facilitate the area’s wider regeneration, including job growth, as well as its physical accessibility and connectivity.
With an expectation of managing all aspects of the Lea River Park programme within LBTH and LBN, the appointed individual will be required to lead proactively on key relationships with stakeholders, partners and residents to deliver high quality outcomes. This person will build a programme working with the Greater London Authority (GLA), LBTH and LBN departments to maximise environmental, leisure and wellbeing impacts and promote high quality urban and architectural design along river and the communities around it.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of planning and delivering innovative regeneration, specifically linking to design and connectivity projects. Experience of working in multi-stakeholder environments is desirable.
Articulate, pro-active, and self-motivated, you will be an extremely effective project manager, with a good knowledge of all aspects of the development process particularly in a regeneration context. You will have an understanding of development financing, stakeholder management, community engagement, physical and cultural place making, town planning, urban design and project delivery. You will also have experience of working to find innovative solutions to delivery through joint ventures and specialist delivery mechanisms
