An exciting opportunity exists to join the Autism and Language Team within the Brighton and Hove Inclusion Support Service (BHISS). BHISS is based at The Music and Art Building, County Oak Avenue, Hollingbury, Brighton. As a Family Support worker, working 4 days per week, you would be part of a team of Family Support Workers and Specialist SEN Teachers within BHISS. This is a peripatetic post, involving visiting families in their homes on your own.
All families who have a child or young person with Developmental Language Disorder and/or a diagnosis of autism have the opportunity to access the Family Support Work offered by the Brighton & Hove Inclusion Support Service - Autism and Language Team.
A Family Support Worker is required who has high levels of self-efficacy and resolve to support families through often emotionally charged and challenging situations. You will have the ability to understand complex and dynamic situations quickly and respond appropriately.
