Have you heard about what’s happening in local government in Northamptonshire? It’s a story of eight becoming two…..

We are looking for a Project Manager to oversee, co-ordinate and deliver a range of projects and duties associated with the council’s transition from the Borough Council of Wellingborough to North Northamptonshire Council. Your involvement in our journey will be critical to us and the new authority.

Reporting to the Assistant Director responsible for local government reform, this role will work with the senior management team and colleagues across the council and beyond to ensure our transition to the new council is seamless.

You will be the focal point for co-ordinating and feeding the council’s data and information to the county wide programme team, as well as supporting the senior management team in their involvement in the programme and associated work streams. Your ability to create strong working relationships will be vital!

You will have the ability to work independently and possess strong time and project management skills. These will be alongside your excellent literacy skills for producing and presenting reports appropriate to varying audiences.

Most people here will tell you that working at Wellingborough is a good experience; we have an up-front approach which focuses on getting the job done whilst making sure that we follow all the rules we have to.

We are as responsive to your individual needs as we can be, making space for home working and flexible hours if colleagues need to fit around other commitments.

In return we offer a range of work life balance benefits (including flexible working arrangements), pension scheme, professional development opportunities, town centre location and free car parking.
