In Northampton, we have some fantastic services and organisations that are working incredibly hard to tackle and prevent rough sleeping in the borough, but we know we can do even better if everyone works more effectively with one another.
We are now seeking to appoint a Rough Sleepers Co-ordinator who has the skills, qualities and experience that are needed to co-ordinate and integrate rough sleeping services, maximise their impact and effectiveness, and improve outcomes.
To meet the requirements of this key role, you will be extremely well organised, you will have excellent communication skills and you will be an adept problem solver and influencer. Friendly, impartial and approachable, you will inspire an innovative and inclusive, solution-focused, multi-agency approach.
In order to succeed, you will need to be an excellent team player, understand the challenges facing homeless people, have the ability to gather and interpret data and information, and have experience of working with people who are sleeping rough, ex-offenders and/or people with substance misuse or mental health issues.
This role is funded by the Government’s Rough Sleeping Initiative and is being offered as a 12 month, fixed term contract or secondment opportunity.
