The post holder will provide a professional and compassionate service to customers and their family carers through person centred support ensuring that individuals are supported to optimise their levels of independence, are connected to their communities and are assessed and provided care and support proportionate to their individual level of need.
As a Level 1 Social Worker you will actively engage in the development of an effective and confident team in line with the directorate's values, priorities, competencies and your own professional registration. Newly qualified or recently qualified, you will contribute to a positive team ethos, setting an example in all aspects of work to ensure the exemplary reputation of the Council is upheld. You will support colleagues day to day within the team and work towards developing professional capability by deputising for others and managing a caseload commensurate with your skill, confidence and experience whilst working towards managing Safeguarding and complex cases.
As a newly or recently qualified social worker, you will need to demonstrate a commitment to integrated working and ensure effective collaboration with all partners and stakeholders.
