About the job
The Software Engineer is a key role in the design, programming, integration, testing, supporting, documenting and maintaining new or amended software systems within agreed development and security standards and processes; the software engineer will follow defined standards and processes and translate requirements into workable programming code, and maintain and develop programmes for use in the business.
The Software Engineer will also be required to provide all aspects of second line support for a number of third party (COTS) applications, finding solutions to a wide variety of problems, incidents or requests, as required by the Solutions Development Manager.

The following demonstrable experience and skills are essential:
Experience in developing software solutions using different software languages or technologies.
The following demonstrable experience and skills are highly desirable:
Experience supporting Social Care systems , financial systems or document management systems in the public sector.
Experience of Microsoft Apps 365 development and support
