An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to work in our Kent Shared Lives Service. Kent Shared Lives is a Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated service that provides individuals the opportunity to stay in the homes of recruited, trained and approved hosts and their families who live in the community.
The Registered Manager is responsible for ensuring a high quality, specialist service, and meeting CQC and In-house performance (IHP) standards and requirements. You will have a critical role in developing and expanding the business aspects of the service and will lead a team including the Business Support Officer and Recruitment and Marketing Officer in achieving this. You will require experience in managing budgets and is also responsible for ensuring robust partnership working with Social work teams and other internal and external partners to include other Local Authorities.
The minimum required qualifications for this position are a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health, Social Care or equivalent and current registration, or eligible to register with the Care Quality Commission as a Registered Manager.
You will have Experience in the management of services to individuals with learning and physical disabilities, mental health, older people, dementia, Autism and sensory impairment, supervisory and people management, managing risk assessment in residential/social care settings, supervisory experience and business and service development experience.
Knowledge of all the relevant legislation affecting individuals we serve is essential as well as an understanding of national standards, regulations and requirements of external regulators, relevant Policy/Procedures in relation to Safeguarding, Duty of Candour, Health & Safety, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty safeguarding and Data Protection (GDPR).

The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
