The role sits within the Contract and Supplier Management Team. This team uses contract and market expertise to develop strategies across our four main pillars of expertise, Contract Management, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Market Development & Supply Chain Management which in turn support our Council's strategic objectives.
We require an individual who is able to work to key deadlines and engage across multiple business functions. Key ingredients of the role will include:-
Collaborating in a matrix way with colleagues in other teams to co-ordinate and review effective resource management and staff, partner and customer satisfaction.
Supporting the management of the Social Value Marketplace including evaluating offers and requests, on-boarding suppliers and approving registrations
Liaising with internal services and external partners such as District and Borough Councils to encourage participation in our programmes
Maintaining and updating contract data
Maintaining social media accounts and proactively promoting activity
Maintain and stimulate activity in our online Contract Management Community
Helping to continuously improve our tools, templates and guidance for the benefit of our customers
We require someone who has the ability to work with a diverse range of individuals and is focused on their customers. They require great communication skills, good stakeholder management and strong technical skills.
