This is a 9 month fixed term contract as a Business Analyst within the IT & Digital department, you will use a broad range of skills to understand the business change needs of teams and departments that deliver services to our residents.
You will have the ability to apply different techniques to elicit business requirements and be able to document and communicate these requirements to other project team members. In order to do this successfully you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be confident working with diverse groups of stakeholders such as council employees (including technical IT&D staff), elected members, suppliers & residents.
You will be working in a project environment often working a number of projects in parallel. Therefore, a structured and methodical approach is essential, as is the ability to distinguish root cause of a problem from symptoms.
