This is an exciting opportunity for Social Workers to apply to work at Broadmoor Hospital (Crowthorne, Berkshire). A brand-new state of the art hospital opened in December 2019 and we are now seeking to recruit to a number of posts within the existing team.
Broadmoor Hospital is one of three High Secure Hospitals within England. The Hospital is responsible for the care and treatment of adult males detained under the Mental Health Act, who require a high level of security to protect others and themselves. The Social Work department is well integrated within the Hospital, working closely with patients, their families, other disciplines and external stakeholders.
Ealing Adults Service, working within West London NHS Trust, delivers a forensic social work service within Broadmoor High Secure Hospital. We work within well-resourced multi-disciplinary teams, contributing to risk assessments and care planning for patients who require a high level of security. We address the social care needs of patients within our service. Social Workers operate to the recently devised Forensic Capability Framework (2016).
This is an exciting time to join an experienced Social Work team as patients, staff, carers and stakeholders begin to see the benefits that the brand-new hospital provides in terms of recovery and rehabilitation.
Whilst it is desirable for candidates to have experience working within forensic and mental health settings, applications will be considered from qualified Social Workers working in other areas, as long as they can demonstrate strong transferability of skills.
Please note for these posts, that applicants must have completed their ASYE before we can consider you for these posts.
