We are recruiting for a Project Manager to lead on the local implementation of a European Interreg 2 Seas Project that East Sussex County Council (ESCC) Adult Social Care will be delivering in Rural Rother. The Healthy Ageing through Innovation in Rural Europe project (HAIRE) will run for 2.5 years, operating as a partnership with Rother Voluntary Action and European Partners.
The Project will develop and test systems that empower older people to define the support they need, participate in the design and delivery of services and develop new solutions to reduce loneliness and improve health and wellbeing.
We are looking for a project manager who has enthusiasm and creativity to motivate, create new opportunities and affect change. The project will involve coordinating community development activity and public involvement, developing local structures to enable wider stakeholder participation. You will participate in the development of new local service solutions in response to identified need, influencing decision making across the Voluntary and Public Sector. You will have excellent communication skills to be able to build relationships with partners across the channel and in the UK. Ensuring robust financial oversight of the project including budget management and compliance with Interreg audit will be a key role.
The post holder is based in both rural Rother and at ESCC County Hall, Lewes. The post holder will also be required to travel alone outside of the UK to attend Interreg partnership meetings
