This opportunity is a fixed term contract for initially for 12 months to cover maternity and provides an exciting opportunity has arisen to work within our Financial Services team. We are looking to appoint a Senior Finance Officer to join our highly motivated team where continuous improvement and value for money are a priority and is a key role to provide financial, commercial and strategic support to Service Managers alongside project support for the transformation of services.

In addition, The Council ensures a commitment to an individual’s growth and progression is a key priority within our Corporate Values Framework providing the environment to encourage and support staff to be creative and flexible in how services are delivered.

Previous experience of working in a Local Government financial environment is a distinct advantage but not essential, as well as a good working knowledge of spreadsheets and financial modelling.

The postholder will require a minimum of an AAT qualification or the equivalent.
