Assistant Planning and Enforcement Officer
£23,522 - £26,539 inclusive of outer fringe allowance per annum

As part of this vision, we currently have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Planning and Enforcement Officer.
In this planning role, you’ll enjoy the challenge of working in a small but busy team, with opportunities to work on both rural and urban projects. You will handle a varied case load of planning applications, including Welwyn Garden City Estate Management Scheme, and associated consent, including providing pre-application advice on proposed applications and applications under the Welwyn Garden City Estate Management Scheme (EMS) as well as dealing with appeals and enforcement investigations.
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication skills and be able to work in an ordered and logical way. Along with front line customer service experience, you will need excellent IT skills and be flexible to support the planning service. You will also need a full driving licence and access to a car.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
