Join Camden’s new estates management service 

We are looking for talented people to join our new estates management service which launches in 2020. A local team to support residents and keep their homes clean and safe, this new service will play an important part in our communities and has been shaped by the people who call our council houses home.  

Estates management is hugely important to the council and residents. The newly launched service will include highly trained caretakers who will be focused on providing a more local service and keeping our residents safe.

The role

Camden’s Estate Management Service is changing the way in which it delivers caretaking services. Our new Safer Housing Caretaking Team Lead will ensure that our new Safer Housing Caretakers, react to caretaking requests, and get to where they need to be quickly and safely. Alongside their fixed caretaking colleagues, Safer Housing Caretakers will provide a flexible caretaking role, responding to the day to day challenges as they arise: keeping our estates clean and safe for our residents. The Team Lead is a highly important role leading our new Safer Housing Caretakers and innovating flexible caretaking responses; including the development of project work right across the Council’s housing estates.

About you 

With experience supervising small teams and an aptitude to working in a changing environment, you will supervise five mobile caretaking staff on a day to day basis and also support senior management in delivering our residents’ vision of their estates as a high quality place to live, supported by a high quality caretaking service. Like all of your caretaking colleagues you have a practical approach and because you enjoy meeting people and working in the open air you are happy to lend a hand to your colleagues, getting the job done as and when it is required; and at all times ensuring a great customer service.
