We are looking for someone who has a flair for data research, analysis and monitoring to support the work of the Planning Policy and Economic Development Business Unit. This could be demonstrated through achievements in any sector – public, private or Not-for-Profit, but experience in a planning or environmental field would be helpful. 

You will primarily be responsible for monitoring and analysing data to provide feedback on the effectiveness of planning policies to inform the work of the planning policy and economic development teams.  

We are looking for a data analyst who can confidently derive meaningful insights and narratives from complex data to assist and influence decision making.  You will work closely with the planning policy team, but also with economic development, development management, GIS and other council officers as well as external stakeholders.

We are looking for a highly organized individual with a positive attitude, who can work to deadlines, is a good team player and has strong numerical, verbal and report writing skills.  You will also possess a full driving license with access to a vehicle insured for business use.

It is an exciting time to join Runnymede Borough Council as we take our new Local Plan through independent examination towards adoption, introducing new policies whose effectiveness needs to be monitored.  In addition, we are in the process of introducing the Council’s first Community Infrastructure Levy, delivering new funds for community infrastructure and projects which also need to be monitored.
