Lancaster City Council is recruiting into an exciting post to work at the award-winning Salt Ayre Leisure Centre. This is an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our general assistant team.
This role will be to provide and maintain a clean and tidy Leisure Centre throughout the building including deep cleaning duties, whilst contributing to a harmonious and productive staff working relationship.
You would be responsible for the cleanliness of all areas of the Leisure Centre, including but not limited to; sports halls, swimming pools, walkways, changing rooms, Café, Energy indoor soft play, X-height, toilets, outdoor areas and all other public areas.
Ideally the successful applicant will have experience of using cleaning machinery in a previous role.
The hours of work for this post are 22 hours per week, working on a fixed rota, which may include working evenings and weekends.
Please note the Council is currently reviewing its pay and grading structure and the salary may be subject to change.
Earlier this year Lancaster City Council unanimously declared a climate emergency and will therefore work towards reducing carbon emissions to net-zero by 2030. As part of this role, you will be expected to participate and work towards reducing carbon emissions.
