HR administrator

 

Salary Scale 5-6 (from £21,589 per annum)

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent HR Administrator working for Barrow Borough Council. 

 

You will provide high quality HR administrative support across the full range of HR services and be responsible for the data integrity, system security, maintenance, reporting, procedures and training for the computerised HR & Payroll System.   You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating the HR System and designing and producing regular statistical information including workforce, training and recruitment.

The post is offered on a full-time basis of 37 hours per week.

 

We are looking for a great team player who is self-motivated, positive and has integrity and professionalism.  You should have acquired considerable experience of HR administration and have the ability to produce accurate and complex documents and reports.  Experience of working in a confidential environment is essential along with the ability to deal sensitively with confidential information.  You should have five GCSE’s Grades A-C or equivalent including Maths and English Language; a certificate in HR Practice at Level 3 would be an advantage.  You should have experience of using an IT based HR system and possess considerable knowledge and experience of IT systems and applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

 

The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme and will be required to obtain a Basic Disclosure. 

 

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide information and advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement.
