Team leader of a learning disability Emergency and Respite service.
Are you someone who has experience of leading and managing staff to achieve positive outcomes for the individuals who use our service? Are you passionate about supporting and guiding staff to provide the best service? Are you innovative with ideas for improvement? Do you have excellent organisational; communication and time management skills. Can you demonstrate the right values to support staff and the individuals who use our service.
Grangemead is part of East Sussex County Council Respite and Community Services team for Adults with a learning Disability. We are based in a building that has been refurbished to a high standard with ensuite facilities; interactive sensory equipment and assistive technology to enhance the experience of the individuals who use our service.
We provide an emergency response service to people who require somewhere safe to stay for a period of time, this could be due to a family crisis; safeguarding concern; recuperation; placement breakdown and transition to a new service.
The successful candidate would be expected to provide support to the Service manager, and guide senior staff in managing their teams. With an ever changing respite environment, you will need to be able to prioritise and manage your workload effectively. You will need to have excellent communication skills, be a positive role model and leader and be self motivated.
