Role Purpose

To work within a busy Technical Services Team that delivers works across a corporate property portfolio under the direction of the Senior Planned Maintenance Surveyor who is the lead on M&E for the team. The Senior Electrical/ Mechanical post holder will organise, manage and oversee the deliver of a highquality, cost effective Electrical engineering service in accordance with theneeds of various client groups


To organise and manage the electrical andmechanical engineers allocated to ensure delivery of the Electrical aspects of theteam’s overall objectives. To provide an exemplary professional service toensure that properties are effectively and efficiently maintained, repaired,adapted, improved or replaced, in accordance with client requirements, goodpractice, legislative and statutory requirements and to achieve agreedperformance targets

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for managing and leading on all Electricalaspects underdirection from the Senior Planned maintenance surveyor regarding the planning, review and development of the electrical engineering surveying team to fully meet the annual requirements ofthe Council’s corporate repairs, maintenance and development, revenue and capital programmes.

As an acknowledged Electrical engineering expert,provide technical advice on works required to maintain, improve and/or develop corporateproperty Responsible for ensuringthe electrical engineering team delivers the full range of Electricalengineering duties on allocated works appropriate to the scope of workundertaken, including major new build and/or refurbishment projects, plannedmaintenance and other revenue and capital funded projects with work programmesincluding Stakeholder consultation, brief agreement, preparation andpresentation of feasibilities and option appraisals. Scheme design, preparationof accurate budget estimates and spend profile projections

Requirements

HigherNational Certificate/ Higher National Diploma in electrical engineering, extensive experience in managing electrical engineers/ surveyors.

Experience in managing the delivery of works to commercial property portfolio
