Job Introduction

Westdene is an inclusive and popular three form entry primary school situated to the north of the city.  The school is seeking to appoint a well organised, efficient Site Manager to join our school to provide assistance around the school – this is a Facilities Support Level C role.  The ideal candidate will be flexible, proactive and able to resolve facility issues.  The main focus of this role will be to support the School Business Manager in looking after Health & Safety in all areas of the school, ensuring relevant paperwork is both up to date and organised.  Strong computer and admin skills are essential.  Duties will also include being the first point of contact for matters regarding buildings, grounds, security and maintenance of the site and also to supervise (and cover when necessary) the Caretaker.  It is preferable that the successful applicant will have a good range of skills and experience including a good level of building maintenance, ideally gained in a similar environment together with general DIY skills for hands on repairs and maintenance.

This is a busy and varied role so you will need to be flexible and practical in your approach, coupled with a good working knowledge of health and safety requirements.  This is a fixed term, part time position (hours to be discussed).
