Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council Adult Services has secured Integrated Care Funding, (ICF) to recruit a skilled, enthusiastic and motivated Digital Media Marketting Officer to assist us in the development of our Information, Advice and Assistance (IAA) service across the wider Health and Social Care community.
As our lead officer you will work alongside our Corporate Communication Teams and our Health and Social Care partners. You will be responsible for implementing and managing a range of new media channels and communication opportunities across the Health and Social Care sector in Blaenau Gwent.
The aim of the project will be to improve communications with our citizens - using a variety of digital, social media and communication channels, (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Intranet, Internet, Newsletters etc.) so that we can promote the opportunities available across our Health and Social Care networks in Blaenau Gwent that support a person’s independence, health and wellbeing.
This post can also be offered as a secondment opportunity. Before applying for this as a secondment opportunity, candidates should seek approval to be released from their current post by their Line Manager. Secondment opportunities are available to staff across the 5 LA’s and ABUHB.
Blaenau Gwent Integrated Partnership Board, (Health and Social Care) has recently identified grant funding to develop a new and innovative approach to develop its preventative support for adults living in our communities. We have a clear vision to develop an integrated approach to prevention support for our citizens by ensuring that they access the ‘right preventative support’ at the ‘right time’ in their lives.
As the newly appointed Digital Media Marketing Officer you will be responsible for implementing and managing a range of new media channels and communication opportunities across the Health and Social Care sector within our Information, Advice and Assistance Team (IAA Team). These will enable citizens to make better choices, promote control and personal independence. You will be an integral ‘building block’ for the development of our Preventative Services and leading a key element of our Blaenau Gwent Care Closer to Home Strategy in relation to communication and promoting digital opportunities.
The position carries an Approved Casual Car User Allowance therefore access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.
