Harlow Council has an opportunity in the role of Housing Assistant within the Housing Options and Advice Team on a fixed term contract until 2 April 2021.

The successful applicant will work as part of the overall Housing Options and Advice Team and will support the day to day work of the team in delivering a first class service that is value for money and customer focused.
The post holder will assist the team in providing a first line service and administrative support in processing a housing needs assessment for both applicants wishing to join the Housing Needs Register or those that are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
You will assist in the verification and the payment of invoices and the commitment accounting processes.
Applicants should have general housing experience gained in local authority, Registered Social Landlords or related organisation, including contact with general public.
An understanding of current housing issues would be an advantage.
