Upon the return of the young person to either their home or care placement, you will make contact with them to offer a return home interview. As a team we are seeking to reduce the level of missing episodes and periods for Birmingham’s young people with a view to reducing the risk of exploitation.
You will be working within a multi-agency Exploitation Hub where we are developing a contextual safeguarding approach.
You will need good people skills and experience of engaging adolescents. You will have a caring nature and be professionally curious about why a young person has gone missing. You will be able to work with other professionals to identify and address the issues that are leading to a young person to go missing.
