We currently have a part time vacancy for an Administrator in Adult Social Care based in West Street. The role is to support the Adult Social Care teams by carrying out general office and administrative duties including minute taking, correspondence, filing, maintaining office supplies, data inputting and processing, finance processing and personnel recording. You wil be responding to, and dealing appropriately with, enquiries received via phone, post, electronically or in person including assisting customers who may be elderly, distressed or have disabilities/impairments. Working collaboratively with others will be key.
The role sits within the West Locality Team which is a very busy and friendly team of staff that include Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Social Care Practitioners, supported by an administration team, and reports to the Administrative Officer.
You should have experience of working within a customer-focused office environment, have excellent commuications skills, good Microsoft Office skills, be able to take minutes of meetings and be able to work flexibly as part of a team as well as independently.
The hours of this role are 32 hours per week and the pattern can be arranged between the successful candidate and the recruiting manager. However, they must cover a Monday and a Friday as part of the pattern. We are ideally looking to offer the successful candidate the full number of hours advertised above, however, we may consider offering less hours than advertised providing they meet the requirements of the role and service which will be determined by the recruiting manager.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
