Lincolnshire County Council is looking for an imaginative and motivated staff members with the skills to invest in the lives of young people who find themselves in, or on the fringes of the Criminal Justice system. You will be part of a team working to motivate the young people to make amends for their actions, and facilitate the delivery of a set amount of hours (reparation) to victims or local communities. This is an exciting opportunity within the Lincolnshire Future4Me service, Community Interventions, Restorative Justice Team.
Community Intervention staff work within the F4M Restorative Justice Team, supporting young people to complete Reparation on statutory Court Orders (Referral Orders, Youth Rehabilitation Orders), and the delivery of reparation given at the Pre-Court Joint Diversionary panels - Youth Restorative Interventions.
We are looking for 3 relief staff across the Boston/Horncastle/South Holland area. This will involve working flexibly, as and when required; during the week, early evenings and weekends to fit around young people's education or other commitments.
To be considered for this role you must have a track record of working with vulnerable young people, and preferably some knowledge of Restorative Practice and the Criminal Justice system. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to build and sustain relationships with young people, and the victims of crime.
Ideally candidates will be able to encourage, motivate and at times challenge attitudes and behaviours displayed by young people. With the aim to support young people and their families through potentially life changing experiences. We would be interested in hearing from people with experience of teaching, tutoring or training.
