About the role
You may not have thought about working in a care environment before but think about it now, because our Care Assistants are amazing people, and you might be the right person to join them.
Our Care Assistants are kind, patient and respectful and they genuinely care about the people we support. They know how easy it is to make a positive difference to the lives of our residents and how good that can feel. They are able to use their values and life experience to connect with our residents.
It's not an easy job and you need to be self-motivated and a hard worker. As well as providing emotional and social support, for our residents and their families, you would be providing personal and physical care to our elderly residents. This could include bathing and helping them go to the toilet in a dignified and respectful manner and not everyone is suited to this type of work.
The great thing is, if you are, it doesn't matter if you haven't worked in this type of role before. For people who have the right motivation and the right values, we will help you with the rest. In return, you'll be part of a team of amazing people who are all working hard to improve the lives of others, not everyone gets to say that about their work, can you?
We have a number of opportunities for night care assistants and would love to hear from you if you think you can contribute to ensuring our residents receive high standards of care.
As well as your salary, you'll be able to join our pension scheme which is recognised as one of the best. You'll also have access to our flexible benefits scheme where you can get discounts in hundreds of places including high street shops, supermarkets, gym memberships and cinema tickets.
For an informal discussion contact Evelyn Tetteh on 01483 404936 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to receiving your application.
The job advert closes at 23:59 on 19/01/2020.
You will benefit from 24 days annual leave, rising to 28 days after 2 years' service, a generous local government salary related pension, as well as the option to join our car lease scheme. For more information about the wide variety of benefits you can take advantage of please visit MyBenefits for Surrey County Council staff.
Surrey County Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
