We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Learning and Organisational Development to join our team. We have an ambitious transformation agenda, and this role will play a pivotal role in building on our programme of true culture change.
Head of Learning & Organisational Development
Salary up to £75,231 pa
12 months Fixed Term Contract
The successful postholder will work as an integral member of the HR & OD Management Team to provide leadership and enable the delivery of the Council’s OD agenda and transformational change. You will lead on the design, development and effective implementation of the Council’s OD strategy, leadership and management development, talent management and professional development to ensure we are a learning organisation and have an engaging and developing workforce.
You will be an inspirational leader of learning and organisational development supporting the team to design and deliver innovative learning and development interventions across the Council.
You will be leading teams with a focus on competency development and implementation; diversity and inclusion; learning design, learning technology, leadership and management development, and cultural transformation.
Whilst specific sector experience is not a pre-requisite, strong candidates will be able to demonstrate their ability to work at pace in a multi-faceted organisation focused on its communities and their futures.
Your strong influencing skills, creativity and commercial nous will be of the utmost importance in our determination to deliver on our ambition. Your problem solving and relationship building skills will also have been honed at a senior level, positioning you as a respected leader with a clear vision of what a highly effective, customer focused L&OD Service looks like.
