This is a 12 month secondment/fixed term contract to cover for a secondment based at County Hall, Penryhn Road, Kingston Upon Thames, KT1 2DN. Please note that Surrey County Council's headquarters, where this role is currently based, will be relocating back into Surrey in 2020 to support our Community Vision 2030.
About the role
The Public Health team in Surrey is forward looking with a strong focus on developing and delivering improvements to the health and wellbeing of our county's population. Public Health sits within the Children, Family and Learning Directorate of Surrey County Council, leading on Health and Wellbeing initiatives for the Council.
You will be playing a leading part within the team that meets the intelligence and information needs of public health within Surrey County Council by providing analysis, interpretation and insight. This to support business planning, policy development and performance monitoring. You will matrix manage members of the team and represent the team at meetings with stakeholders. You will also provide public health intelligence to support the Health & Wellbeing Board, to support health commissioning by CCGs and to support multi-agency and partnership networks in addressing health issues and health inequalities.
Surrey County Council have an ambitious vision for data analytics to support service transformation. The Public Health Intelligence and Insight Team work within the Surrey County Council Analytic Community of Practice as well as contributing to joint projects for the Surrey Office of Data Analytics.
