The Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Programme Manager to implement and manage the Northgate upgrade. This is a hands on role getting involved with the detail, working on the release notes from version 6.11 to the latest version. Having oversight of all on premise customisations/interfaces which require patches/fixes, requesting and testing all necessary patches and fixes to deployment to the live environment.
The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, including all service areas that are supported by the system and other IT teams as well as the solution provider.
This role sits in the Service Support and Improvement function within Digital & Data services.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have substantial experience of upgrading the Northgate system from version 6.11 to later versions. Reviewing release notes identifying new functionality and key security updates. Moving remaining business areas to the latest version from version 5. Doing system and functional testing, identifying issues and seeing these to resolution. Organising and delivering User Acceptance Testing across all service areas. Integration testing of related interfaces and customisations. You will have a demonstrable track record of working with IT teams and delivering outcomes for service users. You will lead a team of application specialists for this upgrade being a voice of constructive challenge and a subject matter expert.
You will demonstrate experience of working collaboratively with departments and organisations to deliver outcomes and successfully engage a range of stakeholders.
