About the Post:
As Market Manager, you will lead the team responsible for the operation of all the markets in the Barnsley borough. The largest market in the borough, Barnsley Market is at the heart of the new town centre development, and is recognised nationally as one of the best markets in the country. The newly opened Market Kitchen, is housed within Barnsley Market and is home to 11 food vendors and a licensed bar. With seating for over 500 people this modern food hall is one of the key leisure destinations in the town centre. The outdoor market in Barnsley is currently under redevelopment and this role will play a key role in shaping how this is designed and managed in the future. You will work closely with a range of partners to develop our four local markets in Goldthorpe, Wombwell, Hoyland and Penistone.
