About the role
Are you a Fostering Social Worker looking for a new role?
Are you a qualified Social Worker, who is passionate about Fostering and looking for a change in your career? If yes, we are looking for experienced Social Workers who are looking for their next career step to join our Fostering team.
As a member of a professional team, you will provide a responsive fostering service to children and their families, where the department is supporting them through either preventative or statutory intervention, with the purpose of safeguarding and promoting their welfare. In addition to this, you will assist children and their careers in the identification and resolution of problems they present wherever possible, within a framework of partnership and choice.
Special Requirements for this Post
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on successful applicants including a Disclosure check.
You will have prior knowledge and experience of a Fostering environment, a good working knowledge and understanding of the current legislations and frameworks relevant to Children Social Care, Fostering and Adoption including the Children's Act 1989 and its application to Social Work practice.
You are a passionate, caring and dedicated Social worker and is able to work creatively with Foster careers. As a good communicator you will have the ability to work with a broad range of foster carers and professionals, including working respectfully with children, young people and their families. You will consistently ensure the views, wishes and feelings of our children, young people are captured in your work with foster carers and children. You are able to make evidenced based decisions and seek management advice when necessary. You are able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with children, young people, their families, foster carers, adoptive parents and other professionals.
