Here at Rugby Borough Council we are “proud of our past, fit for the future”. We are focussing on providing facilities and growth that give us a strong and prosperous future while preserving and celebrating the best of our past. We have three overarching corporate priorities that reflect the need for public services to change and reform:
• Provide excellent, value for money services and sustainable growth
• Achieve financial self-sufficiency by 2020
• Enable our residents to live healthy, independent lives
We operate under four portfolios, each with their own priorities. These portfolios, allied with the “CAN DO” values and behaviours of our workforce, will allow us to deliver services that will help us be proud of our past, and fit for the future.
As our Executive Director, you’ll acknowledge and strengthen our achievements, creating and driving our vision for the future. By understanding the diverse nature of our borough, you’ll bring talented people together, bring inspiration, utilise resources wisely and ensure we deliver on our corporate strategy. We will look to you to truly embed our CAN DO culture within the Council, motivating our people to deliver better services to our customers. Working collaboratively with our politicians is essential to our success.
You’re probably already a Director or Senior Manager of a complex organisation, with an enviable track record of driving performance, managing budgets and building partnerships. You will be politically astute, an exceptional communicator, who forms long-lasting relationships and can influence both locally and nationally. With significant leadership experience, you will have the energy and resilience to make things happen for our borough.
This is an exciting and challenging time to lead our Council. If you can lead us through transformation and change to improve services to our residents, then we encourage you to apply.
