We are seeking enthusiastic Social Workers to join a well-established Adult Social Care South Team based in the Town Hall, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset. The team covers Weston and Worle area. Duties include care assessment and arranging services for adults, who are experiencing problems relating to ageing, physical/sensory impairment and other serious health and social care problems.
Applicants need to be qualified Social Workers, registered with HCPC ideally with experience in Care Management, Safeguarding Adults and Mental Capacity Act processes.
The team comprises of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Adult Social Care Workers. We work closely with our Health provider - North Somerset Community Partnership, Mental Health provider- AWP, Voluntary agencies and continue to look at developing and delivering a partnership approach to service provision. This is an exciting and challenging time for Social Care as we head towards a digital age, exploring different ways of working to increase efficiencies.
North Somerset Council is committed to ongoing professional development and offer a wide range of training opportunities to support this. We are privileged with a Principal Social Worker who takes professional lead for Social Work practice. We offer Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) to newly qualified Social Workers. Annual Social Work Conference is an evidence of our commitment to Social Work profession.
The successful candidate will join in Adult Social Care Team South based in Town Hall, Weston-super- Mare but may be required to work in other locations in North Somerset if there is a greater service need.
