Medway Council is seeking experienced social workers to join our Assessment team. You will be part of an assessment pod consisting of 6 social workers and a Practice Manager. We promote joint working to share risk assessment and enable different perspectives while providing intervention as early as possible during the assessment. We have strong links with partners in Early Help and universal services to ensure we provide the right service, for the right children, at the right time.
As a registered social worker with HCPC and at least two year’s post qualifying experience, you will be able to recognise and evaluate risk to children and have a sound understanding of legislation and statutory guidance relevant to children’s services.
You will be experienced in undertaking direct work with children and young people and be able to evidence understanding of the child’s lived experience. You must have excellent written and verbal skills together with strong assessment and analytical skills.
