EMERGENCY DUTY SERVICE – SENIOR PRACTITIONER/AMHP
Senior Practitioner (AMHP Qualified) Full time.
Are you looking for a role which will value your experience and confidence to work independently outside of normal working hours, including bank holidays? A role which is varied, interesting and always fulfilling? If so the East Sussex County Council Emergency Duty Service (Adults) is seeking to appoint a Senior Practitioner with Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) qualification. This will involve working on a rota covering a variety of shifts of 8, 10, 14 and 16 hours duration on an annualised hour basis.
The Emergency Duty Service along with the ESCC AMHP service is currently being reviewed and therefore it is possible that there will be some changes to the AMHP/SP out of hours role.
You will have a sound working knowledge and understanding of mental health issues and those affecting the most vulnerable in our community You will be skilled at assessing risk and needs and experienced in working as part of a multi-disciplinary/agency team; also in making outcome focussed decisions in isolation.
Main duties include arranging emergency care packages and respite placements for older people, identifying vulnerable adults and responding in accordance with ESCC safeguarding policies and procedures as well as undertaking MHA assessments.
As your participation on the out-of-hours rota means that the majority of your work will be outside of normal Monday to Friday 9-5 hours this post attracts incremental enhancement after 10 PM, at weekends in addition to an AMHP market supplement.
Salary £39,025 plus 2 additional increments for unsocial hours. SS 13 Spinal Point 34 – 36 (36 for unsocial hours payment) £1,500 p.a. AMHP Market forces supplement.
