Our large and growing Infrastructure Planning (IP)Service is an industry leader at the cuttingedge of infrastructure planning centred at the heart of great place making,spatial planning and delivery. We provide a core planning function to theCouncil coordinating the strategic planning, funding, development and deliveryof infrastructure with expertise in infrastructure planning, CIL, S106, projectand programme management.
Infrastructure Planning Team Leader (S106& Programmes)
Working closely with the Infrastructure Planning Manager,the other Infrastructure Planning Team Leader (CIL and Planning) and the DevelopmentViability Team Leader, you will help set the agenda for the future ofInfrastructure Planning. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experiencedplanner to get involved and develop their career at the forefront of a new anddeveloping part of planning. The position offers the successful applicant witha high profile role that engages with major developers, strategic partners, seniormanagers and members of the Council.
You will be working on a varied work programme focused ondelivering high quality infrastructure outcomes. You and your team of sevenwill advise the Council how best to use the funding collected through S106 andCIL to deliver our Infrastructure and Local Plans. This includes managingconsultation and programme delivery of the Local Infrastructure Fund which usesthe CIL Neighbourhood Portion and is roughly £6m - £10m per annum. You willalso manage the Council’s S106 portfolio and legal agreement practices.
