We are looking for a skilled communications professional to join our team.
If you are creative, full of ideas, good with words, savvy with social media and technology then we want to hear from you.
The role is split between our corporate communications and website functions. You will be responsible for managing the council’s social media accounts, along with researching and writing press releases, dealing with media enquiries, writing for a range of council publications and much more besides.
You will also work as part of the web team, keeping the council’s various websites up to date and accessible to all. You will write content to make it easily understandable for the public and ensure that our websites are providing a great experience for users. You may also be called on to provide support for corporate consultations.
We are looking for someone with PR or journalistic experience. Training will be given on the web content management system but an understanding of customer service delivery through online channels and technical IT skills would be an advantage.
You will need to be flexible and able to work to multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
