Local Support Technician (Customer And Partnerships)
Are you an experienced IT professional looking for your next role? If you have good experience and knowledge of ICT systems and equipment, we want to hear from you. We are looking for a Local Support Technician to join our growing, friendly and hardworking team.
Covering everything from desktop to server work, networking to audio visual, to installation, maintenance and monitoring. This is a varied role that will ensure our customers benefit from an effective, efficient ICT support service. You will undertake onsite visits as well as using a variety of remote technologies when working from our Service Desk.
A large element of this job is building professional relationships and delivering high quality customer service. It’s all about liaising with customers, working closely with fellow team members and providing a rich experience for our customers. Naturally, you’ll need proven ICT skills – both with hardware and software, but equally important is the ability to communicate well at all levels. This role will provide you with opportunities to challenge and develop your own skills.
Our customers are all different types of Public Sector organisations and charities, with the majority being within the Education sector. This role involves frequent daily travel in rural and urban areas in the Orbis operating area (primarily within East Sussex supporting our School based customers), and applicants must clearly demonstrate how they will meet the travel requirements of the post.
