Planning/Senior Planning Officer – Policy
£26,928 - £40,994 inclusive of outer fringe allowance per annum
37 hours per week
Our new Local Plan is currently in examination and aims to deliver major growth across the borough. You will help prepare and implement the strategies and policies in the Local Plan and supporting documents.
As a vital member of the Planning Policy Team, you’ll help to deliver the policies and allocations in the Plan and develop further guidance to ensure our goals are delivered. This is an exciting opportunity to immediately immerse yourself in complex and varied work, using your expert planning knowledge to really make a difference. You’ll relish being thrown in to the thick of things, using this chance to prove yourself as a first-class planner.
We’re looking for someone with strong experience of developing planning policy and a degree in planning or a related subject. You’ll also be at ease liaising with members of the public and be able to provide clear, comprehensive advice. Strong written and verbal communication skills are therefore essential.
Planning Policy and Implementation are inviting applications for the career graded post of Planning/Senior Planning Officer to help prepare and implement the strategies and policies in the Local Plan and supporting documents.
You will already hold a planning degree or a degree in a relevant subject with experience of working in a planning department.
