FIXED TERM CONTRACT 18 MONTH 
The post of Performance Leader sits within the Impact and Intelligence Service, which is rethinking the way it manages performance across Children’s Services and Adults’ Social Care. 
 
This is a full time job - 37 hours per week. Flexible working arrangements can be negotiated where they meet the needs of the service. The post is based at the council offices in Shute End, Wokingham. The job is initially offered on a fixed-term basis until June 2021, after which the arrangements will be reviewed. 
 
Within Children’s Services particularly, we are reshaping our approach to managing, analysing and addressing performance, removing traditional silos, and increasing the involvement of front line managers. The Performance leader will help steer this change, analysing and aligning performance information held by WBC and partner organisations. The post-holder will be responsible for coordinating all activity within the Performance Team, working closely with the council’s internal forums and partnerships to provide them with a range of performance information demonstrating Children’s and Adults’ services contribution towards achieving the key strategic aims of the organisation. 
 
The successful candidate will have a strong background in qualitative and quantitative analysis, combined with the ability to communicate with and influence Children’s and Adults’ Social Care professionals and other stakeholders. They will have demonstrable previous experience of working in a performance-related environment, have the ability to distil complex issues into highlight reports, and the technical ability to prepare presentations for a variety of audiences.
