The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead’s Visitor Management & Marketing Team is seeking an experienced and highly motivated manager with a strong commercial and customer service background for its visitor information centre in Windsor.
The visitor centre is located in the busy Windsor Royal Shopping in the heart of the town and is open 5 days a week throughout the year.
We are looking for someone to change the traditional visitor information centre into a more dynamic and modern offering appealing to today’s tourists who want to book tickets online and use apps whilst also providing the box office service to our residents for local events.
You will devise and implement the Visitor Information Centre business plan to ensure growth in revenue as well as developing new services to meet changing visitor demands and the new delivery model. The ability to grow business relationships with stakeholders, council colleagues and suppliers is vital.
You will also manage the accommodation and ticket booking system as well as managing the staffing, financial and day to day running of the team.
This is an exciting time for the tourism team as we move to a different delivery model and work more closely with our partners to provide a real focus on tourism to our residents and visitors.
