West Berkshire Council has an exciting opportunity for an innovative change facilitator to work as part of a team reviewing and redesigning our approach to adult social care assessment and care management arrangement, which provide underpin the support we provide, and is a fixed term post for 12 months.
Our Modernising Adult Social Care Programme will transform our approach to delivering adult social care to our residents. The programme has a strong digital element and we are looking to build on our existing transformation work to redesign our approaches to maximise the benefits that the internet and digital technology can deliver.
As part of the council’s Digital Services team, but working closely with our Adult Social Care service, you’ll analyse and quantify current ways of working, producing costed suggestions for improving a service, ranging from minor adjustments to a redesigned delivery model. The output of your work may take the form of presentations, contribution to business cases, or verbal discussion.
The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for facilitating change in public service and strong information gathering and analytical skills. You’ll need a good understanding of the benefits individual digital capabilities such as online information, payment or booking can provide, and how they can be incorporated into service delivery.
You’ll have an excellent knowledge of the range of methods needed to engage with both service teams and senior managers, and be able to present your findings well both verbally and in written form, including using Business Process Model and Notation.
Whilst experience of working with adult social care teams and engaging with networks such as LocalGov Digital would be helpful, it’s not essential.
