Your New Role
We are looking for an Assistant Team Manager to join our busy Adult Social Care Finance team. The role includes the line management of a number of professional officers, a total of 30 team members between two Assistant Managers. You will be required to undertake one-to-one's, offer advice and guidance on more complex issues, setting out team and individual objectives, workload and performance monitoring, and providing direction to enhance their skills and knowledge.
The role will include undertaking detailed investigations into any issues or complaints relating to any area of discipline within the team. You will ensure that team tasks are completed in line with PCC policy, Financial Rules, DWP legislation, Court Direction and the Care Act 2014.
You will support the Team Manager in the strategic direction of the team, ensuring that any projects are delivered on time and the highest possible standard. You will help drive forward change and motivate the team to adapt and respond positively. You will also deputise for the Team Manager in their absence.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have substantial experience of managing large teams as well as proven experience of working with vulnerable people including a sound understanding of Adult Social Care Services and charging principles
