The Data Hub is a new and growing team in Newham building on the success of the council's data warehouse. We play a central role in the Council, providing tools and insight to deliver our corporate vision. Situated at the heart of the organisation’s strategy team, we are focussed on delivering an analysis programme to deliver transformation and automated reporting supported by our Elected Mayor and the Strategic Leadership Team.

Information , Advice and Support Officer

£29,766 - £30,708 pa Fixed Term 6 months

SENDIASS offers impartial, support and advice to parents of children with special educational needs. The case worker will be part of a small but busy team that supports parent/carers, children and young people, who request help with the processes involved in a variety of issues to do with education. It is a demanding role that requires the applicant to be able to work with sensitive information, have outstanding interpersonal skills and work well under pressure.

You will be required to have excellent  communicate and negotiation skills, your primary function will be to conduct outbound telephone calling to secure payment from defaulters. You will have experience of debt collection, and have worked in the same or similar environment. You should have the ability to deal with difficult calls, and have good written and verbal skills
