Hours: 7.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
To assist the Cook and/or Assistant Cook in general duties within the kitchen as required.
An opportunity has arisen within the Environment and Regeneration directorate for a Catering Assistant to work under the supervision of the Cook in Charge and/or Assistant Cook and to assist and carry out any instructions given in the preparation, cooking and serving of food or cleaning away, washing up, cleaning processes or handling of cash.
You will be prepared to work additional hours or at any reasonable time of day as required in order to ensure the smooth running of the catering unit.
The successful candidate will possess a current Food Safety Level 2 and be willing to undertake any training considered necessary for the post.
Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The postholder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
