Car Park Officer
Permanent, Part Time (30 hours per week)
Salary: £18335 - (£14,866 pro rata per annum)
If you don’t care much for spending all day in front of a computer, then the Car Park Officer role could be just right for you. The Borough car parks are one of the first impressions that visitors have of Tunbridge Wells, and the need to keep them in a clean, safe and pleasant condition is essential.
You will spend most of the day traveling around our car parks, carrying out routine cleaning and maintenance, and generally ensuring the smooth and safe running of all our car park equipment.
You will be part of a supportive team, but the role does require a significant amount of lone working. It can be physically demanding at times but very rewarding and you will be providing a vital service to the Council and the local community.
You need to be mechanically minded and be able to demonstrate a keen eye for detail and have a full manual driving licence. You will have regular contact with customers in the car parks so communication skills and a commitment to good customer service are essential.
You will need to be able to commit to working some early mornings and on occasional bank holidays and weekends so some flexibility is a must.
