Manford Teaching Nursery
Nursery Manager

Full time post – Term time only

COVID-19; Given the current situation with Covid-19 we recognise that a flexible approach will need to be taken within the recruitment process to comply with the regularly updated government guidelines. We are recruiting for this post with a view to start after the current government restrictions have been lifted

Redbridge is setting up a Teaching Nursery / Centre of Excellence and are looking for an inspirational Nursery Manager to join us in this exciting project!

This unique opportunity will allow you to showcase your skills and knowledge to create a Teaching Nursery and Centre of Excellence, and support other practitioners to gain the same level of understanding and knowledge.

The nursery ethos will be centred around respectful and positive relationships with all nursery users (children, families, colleagues and wider professionals and providing extraordinary experiences for children in Redbridge.

You will manage a small team of 3-4 practitioners and will need experience of achieving Good or Outstanding by Ofsted in a managerial role, an in-depth understanding of legal and advisory frameworks and the ability to work in partnership with a range of professionals.

The nursery manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the nursery, to include implementing a meaningful curriculum and ensuring all practitioners demonstrate child-focussed teaching which is worthy of dissemination.  The nursery manager will need to be innovative and passionate about the care they offer to children.

We can offer an excellent pension and sick pay scheme, along with other internal incentives. As the nursery will sit within the local authority early years team there will be lots of opportunities to work alongside our early years specialists as the Teaching Nursery grows.

If you have a passion for working with our youngest children and their families and the drive to raise standards in the early years sector then we would like to hear from you!
