Job Title: Senior Transport Planning Policy Officer
Location: County Hall, Hertford
Salary Range: £34,788 to £42,683 pa
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent 

 

About you:

A strategic thinker who understands the need to win hearts and minds in order to deliver policy objectives, but someone who understands that getting the details right is also essential. You should have an understanding of how transport policy works in a local government environment. Above all, you should have a passionate belief in improving transport for the benefit of local residents and businesses.

About us:

The Strategic Transport and Rail team is responsible for setting the overall direction for transport delivery, and is responsible for the development and promotion of the Local Transport Plan. We have a watching brief on all issues that may affect how Hertfordshire residents will travel in the future. We are currently developing the new Sustainable Travel Towns programme, which is looking at local transport from a completely new angle, working with hearts and minds and on seizing opportunities as they arise.
