More about the role:

 

In Adult Social Care, we want every person in Central Bedfordshire to have responsive and customer-focused care and support – making this a great place to live and work.

 

This is an important role and you’ll receive our full support including a thorough induction and our training plan. The aim of the Day Care Officer is to provide a meaning and fulfilling day for the customers that attend the centre. There will also be a need to support with administering medication, preparing drinks and snacks and supporting with personal care tasks. It is important to recognise and respect the individuality of each customer.


As a Day Care Officer you will have the opportunity to assess, plan, implement and evaluate a variety of sessions and programs for the customers who attend the centre, as well as working in partnership with them through person centred approaches in line with their agreed individual support plan.

 

Ideally, you will have proven experience in the field of learning disabilities and will be able to demonstrable your ability to implement innovative customer sessions, have a commitment to developing your skills and knowledge and be comfortable working as a member of a proactive team.
